I've been making this garlic bread for years-- and I've watched my family and guests devour multiple slices. How can you go wrong when you dip a sliced loaf of French bread in a garlic butter Jacuzzi? To guild the lily, a layer of cheese, mayonnaise, Parmesan and green onion is layered on top and then baked until golden and bubbly. This the Ultimate Garlic bread!

Spread cheese mixture on warm loaves and bake in a 425 degree oven until cheese is hot and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
Slice and serve.
Notes
Sometimes, I skip adding the cheese mixture and serve this as regular Garlic Bread. I freeze a quarter chunk at a time, by wrapping in in foil and then into a ziploc bag. I reheat a frozen loaf at 350F for about 15 minutes, then unwrap and bake 5 more minutes, until golden brown.Recipe adapted from The Pioneer Woman
