This Malibu Mai Tai cocktail is a twist on a traditional Mai Tai, because there are notes of almond flavor, pineapple juice and coconut. These are so popular at our outdoor barbecue parties, and guests are always asking for more. Drink responsibly! These have a bit of a punch and can sneak up on you. Don’t drink and drive!
This post is exciting for me to write for a couple of reasons. For one, I’m writing my first post from my new WordPress Blog Platform. Unless you are a blog author, yourself, you might not have any idea what I’m talking about. The easiest explanation is that I decided to invest in having my food blog redesigned, and that I really wanted to have a Recipe Index that was visually appealing and easy to navigate. I was fortunate to find this blog design company who fulfilled my wish within my price budget. Kate did a fantastic job and held my hand through the whole process.
This cocktail is a perfect way for me to celebrate the unveiling of the new and improved “A Feast for the Eyes“. I was inspired to replicate this cocktail that I first had at our local Olive Garden Restaurant– called the Milan Cocktail.  We love Mai Tai’s and this tropical themed drink won my heart with that first sip of coconut, almond and pineapple. I played around with the recipe until my “test drinkers” (that would be my husband and adult son) asked for seconds.
I am really excited with my new internet kitchen, and I hope that you enjoy browsing through my recipe index and that I’m starting with a new printable recipe card format.
I have more recipes to share and am excited to have you be a part of my return to food blogging!
Thank you for your friendship and–
Cheers!

Lol, I’ve made this for parties and I’ve always got, “oh my God this is so good blah blah blah, but there’s not enough liquor in it,!” until they try to stand up then they realize it’s a “sneak up” drink! LOL love this drink

ok either i made it wrong or the measurements need updates. awesome drink but 3 ounces of both sweet and sour and pine apple juice? i made this and over flowed my shaker! love the drink though so perhaps a 1 once sweet and sour to the 3 pine apple? the sour is over powering the other tastes a bit so ima try to lessen it. (and to make it fit in a shaker 😛 ) but thatnks for the drink mix it is tropic for sure!
